I’ve always believed I can land a job anytime.
And maybe I still can.
But over the past three months, that belief has being sorely tested.
Let me rewind.
I quit my last 9-5 because the workplace was toxic.
And since April, I’ve been working on a contractor basis for Avium as their SEO Manager.
It’s going great, but I’ve been trying to land another client/gig alongside this to derisk myself.
I don’t like my income coming from just one source.
And although I technically have multiple sources of income (my online courses, Airbnb, my girlfriend’s rent), this makes up a tiny fraction.
Anyway, I’ve been applying to a bunch of roles.
I’ve tracked everything single one in a spreadsheet.
I’m currently at 48:

Several have been promising, but they’ve mostly fizzled out.
So 100s of hours have gone down the pan.
Which is why I’m being drawn back to something I always think about.
Building something myself.
In this brave new world, maybe that’s the only answer.
I’m considering teaching on YouTube, but I wouldn’t annouce anything until I’ve made at least 10 videos.
I’ll let you know what happens.
