Every year since 2018, I’ve written a letter to my future self.
I then “post” them with FutureMe.
One year later, they land in my inbox.
I’ve got an email folder full of them. I print them off and put them in my journal too.
Why?
- It’s joyful! I’ll never get bored of seeing these letters come through. Writing them is fun too.
- You get a rare, unfiltered snapshot of where you were in the past. No memory to fool you.
- They remind me of the quote from Tony Robbins: “Most people overestimate what they can do in a year, but underestimate what they can do in 10 years.”
Give it a go.
You might surprise yourself.
