They’re so simple:
- Sleep
- Journal
- Meditate
We know the drill with sleep. 7-8 hours a night minimum.
With journalling, I return to my goals as much as possible. Working towards something is the antidote to depressive moods.
With meditation, I try to do this multiple times a day. I can be walking. I can be in the shower. It doesn’t really matter. The main thing is I bring awareness to my breath. As soon as I drift, I gently nudge it back. That’s it.
I know you don’t care about my experiences, but here’s an example anyway.
This worked just last night. I’d been feeling funky over the weekend, so I made sure I was sleeping enough and meditating. Then, I grabbed my journal and thought about my goals. I’ve been thinking about and trying a bunch of stuff over the last two months since leaving my 9-5. Property investing. App building. Amazon FBA. Ghostwriting. YouTube. Counselling.
You name it.
My brain has been firing like crazy.
So I took a step back and thought about the 5 pillars of life:
- Wealth
- Health
- Relationships
- Career
- Fun & adventure
Where do I sit on all of these?
I realised the areas where I feel the biggest pulls are career and fun & adventure. These are things I need to work on. So I’m recitfying them by building new goals towards them.
If you’re feeling funky, give these things a try.
They might help.
